CHICAGOLAND HVAC/R SERVICE

Boiler running, but the radiators are still cold?

A boiler that appears to operate does not necessarily mean heat is reaching the rooms that need it. The most useful starting point is the pattern: one radiator, several rooms, a thermostat-controlled zone, or the whole property. For the broader service options, explore heating repair and maintenance.
Rescuetek provides steam and hot-water boiler repair. Tell us what is cold and what still heats normally so the visit starts with the actual complaint.

One heating zone is not responding

Where separate thermostats control different areas, tell us which thermostat and rooms are affected. A zone complaint belongs in the system assessment; it is not proof that the thermostat alone has failed.
Steam and hot-water systems need different checks. Do not use a generic online bleeding or pressure-adjustment procedure without knowing the system and the applicable instructions. Do not open hot components or operate relief valves to try to restore heat.

Restore heat with a clear diagnosis

Request boiler service or call (847) 305-4770. For an urgent loss of heat, describe the current indoor conditions when calling. For gas odors or a CO alarm, evacuate and call emergency services first.

Radiators Not Heating FAQ

One radiator or the whole system?
If one area stays cold while the rest warms up, describe that difference. If no area heats, explain what you hear or see from a safe distance and whether the thermostat displays a message. Do not assume the boiler needs replacement just because the rooms are cold.
What should I share when booking?
Describe the affected rooms, whether other areas still heat, and any visible leak or unusual noise. Share the equipment type if already known; there is no need to touch hot piping to gather information.
